» Introduction:

Kishio Suga is one of the artist from "Mono-ha" which is stormed Japanese art movement between the end of 1960s and 1970s. After he learned from Yoshishige Saito at university, he used such as wood, stone, metal fragment, and glass sheet as materials of his artworks, and placed them in the exhibition space. "Thing" and "body", "thing" and "space", "center" and "surrounding"- these "thing" he strips away preexisting concepts related the materials.

"There is no such thing as 'form' until it is cognized from the infinite phenomena around us. Form is created by our consciousness which selects according to our needs or abilities. Everything is interdependent without definition, until we become aware of one aspect; then 'form' emerges for the first time." (Kishio Suga)

It does not bias to the theory, his artwork always lies between the body and artwork itself in the production process. The conception of "artwork must be seen like this" is denied and he plays the most radical approach to his artwork.
