ローリー・シモンズは、1949年米国ニューヨーク州ロングアイランド生まれ。1971年、タイラー・スクール・オブ・アート（フィラデルフィア）芸術課程修了。現在ニューヨーク在住。その作品はウォーカー・アート・センター、ヒューストン美術館、モントリオール現代美術館など、欧米各地の美術館にコレクションとして所蔵されています。
